Working together with a leading end-to-end service solutions provider for natural and artificial sports surfaces, we developed a fully integrated data acquisition, site management and decision support system for turf maintenance decision support applications.
The web-based tool uses a range of environmental sensors and wireless telecommunications hardware to gather real-time data from remote locations and transmit it to the cloud where it is displayed in a variety formats for use by groundspeople to take informed decisions regarding turf maintenance strategy.
The system has been used to monitor and optimise natural turf performance at world-class sporting venues such as Wimbledon Tennis Club, Wentworth Golf Club and Heart of Midlothian Football Club. The system is also used by agronomy consultants to provide additional services to their clients.
